A wedding 12 years in the making. One of my favorite moments was during a quiet break after toasts that shared how the couple, and their 2 best friends had all met when working together at Legend Brewing Company many years before. The place the story began. While they were taking a minute to be together they told me how Steven had been ready to quit his job that day she’d walked in to interview. He saw her and immediately asked the person next to him who she was. He didn’t quit that job at Legend and now 12 years later they were saying their vows with 30 of their closest.Their primary goal was to enjoy the day and be involved with their family and friends.
The day’s plans changed twice in the 24 hours before I Do, in the absolute best way. When rain forecasts threatened an outside ceremony, they were moved indoors to -personal opinion here- what I believe is the best indoor ceremony space at the Omni Homestead Resort, the gorgeous Grand Ballroom Foyer with its marble floors, vaulted ceilings and private patio space.

Then just that morning they were treated to another special plot twist (hmm seems like a theme here) when the AC suddenly went out only in their reception space, moving them to the second most exquisite room the hotel has to offer; the Crystal Room. With yet another private outdoor space, a beautiful entrance that is like something out of a movie, and the crystal chandeliers, could not have embodied the vision Kendall and Steven had for a romantic wedding day more perfectly.
Throughout the day Raechel who is the event coordinator for the Homestead did an absolutely incredible job at making everything feel so special. From the snacks and champagne sent to the bride’s room, the change of plans, flow of the day and as always on the vendor side simply being so pleasant to work with, Steven and Kendall were singing her well deserved praises.
All of it was brought together with the flowing background music of Follow the River String Quartet, smiling the whole time.
