Engagement photo’s a sneak peak into my process AFTER you book your session with me. As just a fun little way of getting to know my clients MORE after our first initial Face-time, I like to send these little questionnaires before the engagement session. This helps my clients and I with several things: knowing what music to play at a session (location and cell service permitting, if you live in the mountains you KNOW the struggle LOL) I tend to bring little gifts along with me. Often curated around bits of this questionnaire, or possibly what I can tell they are into. An earthy couple who loves nature for instance, may get some handmade raw milk soap from my local favorites Red Haven Farm. Depending on the couple I will pick up a bottle of hard cider from the lovely local Troddenvale. Not only do both of these gifts give back to local small farmers but friends as well as being quite the pleasant surprise. The Cider is a perfect bottle to pop open on your gallery review date night *wink wink*
Without further ado, let’s get to know my fabulous, down to earth, adventurous August couple!!
K and L met in Texas. K being born in California, L in Wisconsin! They came together over the love of the outdoors, working at many camping and have explored a ton the the US national parks!! When we first met on Face-time while I was extremely pregnant with baby #3 and it definitely showed in my dark circled eyes, they were so gracious to answer questions, chat and I instantly KNEW they were my kind of people.
While I only take a limited amount of intimate weddings per year, and tend to want stick to elopements, this was a match made in heaven. Not just for them, but for me as well. Since that initial call, I have enjoyed getting to know them more. Logan, soft spoken – so far, and Kaitlyn, such a kindred spirit.
